Salomon Doncel
Profile
My name is Salomon Doncel. I was born and grew up in Marbella, a beautiful town in the coast of Andalusia (Spain). I lived in Ireland and Japan as a university student, and I graduated with honours from the University of Granada with a BA in English Philology and a Master’s in Translation and Interpretation. After that, I decided to pursue my Master’s in English Language Education from Valencian International University with the purpose of teaching English in Japan. In 2022, I completed my doctorate in Translation and Interpretation at the University of Granada. Most of my research revolves around manga and anime.
For several years, I combined my job as a language instructor with my role as a medical interpreter at an international hospital. It was a really exciting experience which taught me many things about the medical field and helped me appreciate health more than before.
I love cycling, travelling, cooking, reading manga, watching anime, karaoke and talking to people.
