The International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC) Symposium and General Assembly
On Monday, August 4, 2025, the 16th International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC) Symposium and General Assembly was held at Hasanuddin University (Indonesia) with the theme “Urban Synergies: Bridging Knowledge, Cultures, and Sustainability,”conducted in a hybrid format combining in-person and partially online participation.
At the international symposium, under the above theme, three keynote speeches were delivered by representatives from the host municipality, host university, and next host institution, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City. A panel discussion was also held featuring three speakers, including representatives from the host institution and the University of the Philippines.
In the afternoon, research presentations on “Environment,” “Urban Development,” and “Health” were held in the breakout sessions.
Finally, the host institution for the next conference (2027), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, made the declaration to host the 17th conference.
