Event Report: The 13th IACSC International Symposium/General Assembly
2023.09.13
The 13th International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities Symposium/General Assembly
Each year, member universities take turns hosting the event in person, but due to the spread of COVID‑19 and the difficulties of international travel, it was held online for three consecutive years beginning in 2020.
In 2022, Universiti Sains Malaysia, serving as the host for the third time, organized the international symposium and research presentations, and an international student program (student presentation session) was conducted by Yokohama City University’s Urban Planning Unit. These activities promoted exchange among researchers and enabled the continuation of multinational collaboration within the International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC), even amid the COVID‑19 pandemic.
At the international symposium, a keynote address and a panel discussion were held under the theme “Sustainable Urban Living in a Covid‑19 & Climate Change Environment.”
