Graduate School of Medicine: Department of Nursing


YCU’s Graduate School of Medicine’s Nursing Department consists of a Master’s (Master of Nursing) and a Doctoral (PhD Nursing) program. Our programs aim to nurture talented people who view issues from a wide perspective and can investigate the speciality of nursing, and who can reform nursing practice with their practical research capabilities.

Course Structure
Master's Program
In our Master’s program, students can choose between two path¬ways; the Special Research Course (11 specialised fields) and the Advanced Practice Nurse Course (6 specialised fields)*.
*The Advanced Practice Nurse Course is designed to prepare Certified Nurse Specialists(CNS) (4fields:Cancer Nursing,Gerontological Nursing,Child Health Nursing,Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing),Perianesthesia Nurse(PAN),and midwife.
Doctoral Program
In the Doctoral program, we aim to train nursing science researchers, nursing educators, and nurses who can excel in executive leadership and more advanced nursing. Among the 9 specialised fields that students can choose from include Nursing Care System Development, Health Support Nursing, Child Health and Development Nursing, and Community Health Care System and Nursing.
