Conprehensive career supprt is provided to students envolled in the doctoral program which icludes career path support seminars/workshops, seminars for improving research ability, and introduction of internships.

Career consultation and seminars for improving research ability
Basic information is provided for students in Doctoral Programs regarding ways of thinking about career and how to choose a career path, regardless of academia, companies or public research institutes


Company Networking Events
This event is held twice a year with participation of companies and research institutes that are willing to hire doctoral students. Participating organizations explain about researchers' ways of working, etc.


Career Consultation
Major support includes the provision of job information by doctoral students support agencies, corrections of entry sheets, guidance on how to write a resume, job search according to the needs and situations of students, hearings with searched companies and research institutes.
■Internship Support


Research Internship Program
The Research Internship Program is a system for earning credits by participating in a long-term (2 months or more), paid (equivalent to starting salary) research internship at a company in Japan.
Students enrolled in the Graduate School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Data Science, Department of Health Data Science are not eligible to participate.


C-ENGINE
C-ENGINE is a consortium of universities and companies that are working on the development of human resources with the ability to create innovation through cooperation between academia and industry.
With the introduction of C-ENGINE, you can participate in an internship specializing in the doctoral program.

Internship Support Consultation
For students selected for the SPRING program, a specialist familiar with doctoral internships will meet with them to confirm the details of the mid- to long-term internship or research interns

We offer financial assistance for study abroad and internships to students selected for the SPRING program.

Japan Graduates Database (JGRAD)
The Japan Graduates Database (JGRAD) is an information platform that has been operated since 2014 by the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP), a national research institute under jurisdiction of the MEXT in order to understand the employment status and current situation of doctoral human resources in society.
Notes:
- JGRAD covers doctoral students only.
- Students receiving support under SPRING are required to register in JGRAD.


Training Assistant Professor (YCU's unique system)
For students selected for the SPRING program, a one-year post will be established and supported so that they can continue their research and teaching activities at the University after completing the doctoral program and secure career development opportunities at universities and research institutes. (A doctoral degree is required at the time of employment.)
