Information for First-Time Patients

As an “advanced treatment hospital” that specializes in the latest medical technology, the role of our hospital is to treat patients who need sophisticated medical care. We also strive to serve as a driving force for cooperation in community-based healthcare. In that capacity, we cooperate and collaborate with local hospitals and clinics to share responsibility for regional medical care. As a general rule, after you have been examined at your local medical institution, if it is determined that medical care at our hospital is necessary your local institution will issue a medical treatment information form (commonly called a “referral”), which you will need to bring for your initial consultation at our hospital. Our outpatient departments use two different systems for seeing patients. Departments using the “referral system” require a referral, while those using the “appointment system” require an appointment in advance.

Departments using the referral system

The departments listed below use the referral system. Be sure to bring your medical treatment information form (referral) on your first visit. Please note that you cannot be examined without a referral.
