The Department of Nursing Master's Degree Program is designed for nursing professionals in actual employment (or those who have a nursing license and plan to enter sites of practice); it cultivates human resources who will acquire high-level practical nursing skills and practical nursing research ability, and who will be able to reform sites of practice. The Program is mainly concerned with training high-level practical nursing professionals who can meet the needs of residents in the international city of Yokohama, and includes elements of advanced healthcare nursing (infectious disease nursing, cancer nursing, maternity nursing) and community life support nursing (psychiatric nursing, community nursing). Of these, the educational content in the three areas of infectious disease nursing, cancer nursing and psychiatric nursing are designed to train specialist nursing professionals. Among others, we have also introduced a long-term course completion system, enabling nursing professionals to take up their studies while remaining in employment.
