The 6th Yokohama City University Science Summer Program was held from August 19th to 23rd at YCU Tsurumi Campus, part of the seaside science and innovation district. The aim of the program is to encourage students from across Asia studying life sciences to come and experience the research being undertaken in Yokohama, and to help them develop an international perspective which is necessary for future international collaboration in technological and scientific development.

Students from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA joined the program to hear speakers from YCU and RIKEN talk on a range of subjects from bionanotechnology and biofuels to fundamental cell biology.
