Practical Class No.3: Observation of molecular interactions using nuclear magnetic resonance

Prof. Takahisa Ikegami showed the students the NMR facility and the preparation of samples for NMR analysis.

Not only are the machines very expensive, but the heavy water needed for many experiments is also hundreds of dollars per litre!

Workshop

The students were divided into four groups, and each prepared a presentation for summarizing and introducing what they learned through the science summer program.

Presentation

Every group had a lot to say about how much they enjoyed their time in Japan, and had some interesting insights into the lectures and what they had learned.
Moreover, one international student sang Mr. Ken HIRAI's song, who is a Japanese popular singer and a graduate of YCU.

Closing Ceremony

After the workshops, the President of YCU presented certificates to the participants at the closing ceremony.

Besides, in the ceremony, the slideshow of photos taken in the program was shown to the students.
