Designation as a core hospital, etc.
* Approval as a Community Medicine Support Hospital (June, 2007)
Based on a report of the Kanagawa Medical Research Council, this Center was approved by Yokohama City as a "Community Medicine Support Hospital" stipulated
in the medical law because the Center was recognized as a hospital that can support community medicine consisting mainly of "family doctors" such as doctors of regional clinics and hospitals.
* Designated as a General Perinatal Center in Kanagawa Prefecture (June, 2007)
As a central facility for maternal and child medical care, this Center is available 24 hours, 365 days a year for emergency admission of severe high-risk pregnant women and severe high-risk neonates. In addition, this Center was designated by Kanagawa Prefecture as a core facility that provides training for staff involved in regional perinatal medicine in cooperation with the training section of Kanagawa Perinatal Emergency Medicine Council.* Perinatal pregnant women (from 22 weeks of pregnancy to 7 days after delivery)

Of the Critical Care and Emergency Centers, this Center is certifi ed as a Tertiary Emergency Medical Institution that functions as the core of Yokohama City that provides especially advanced medical practice.
