Course outlineEnvironmental Toxicology
The purpose of the spring course, Environmental Toxicology is to provide an introduction to the fundamental principles of environmental toxicology and environmental chemistry. The course will provide an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge of the interactions of toxic chemicals (including drugs, pesticides, industrial pollutants, and natural products) with living organisms and the environment. Modern food production methods and experimental toxicology will also be presented.
Emphasis will be placed on contemporary problems of human health and the environment and the sources, fate, and effects of chemicals in our daily living spaces.

PrerequisitesThose who are interested in organic chemistry. Course will be conducted in class.
