Faculty of Global, Regional and Urban Studies

introduction

In the Faculty of Global, Regional and Urban Studies, our goal is to take a global and interdisciplinary approach to the many challenges faced by cities and regions in the contemporary world. This faculty's departments train students to derive solutions for regional and community issues, equipped with the global knowledge and scholarly perspective to be able to envision international and urban societies that answer to contemporary issues. The curriculum is designed for students to amass broad knowledge and education in the fields of social science, spatial science and regional studies; revolving around an understanding of urban and international society as well as multi-cultural understanding, and training students to apply their knowledge and education to specific societal issues. Students will be instilled with a frontier mentality and entrepreneurial spirit, and will learn how to apply a fully original process to problem-solving, with a keenly developed sense for problem "problem finding", proactive "research" and rigorous "analysis" of specifics, and "reflection" on findings.
